U So a couple of things happened yesterday that were discussed on here regarding a player's GameDay routine. I thought it fitting a thread be made about how seriously and important they guys take their GameDay routine.

For one, Cam was not out two hours early to do his jogging, throwing, kneeling at the goal post. He does those things before every game he plays in, like clockwork. For him to not have been seen yesterday doing those things was all you needed to know about his status. It is important for him to get his mind and body right at that time, and he never skips it. Some fans blew it off as not a big deal that he missed it, he still could be active. Not a chance.

Secondly, and more importantly, Gano's half time reps. He has done this every game in his pro career. If there are players on the team that relies on routine and reps the most, it is the specialists. They don't get to play every down. They have very limited time to get in reps with the goal post before the game and at halftime. It's not something to gloss over. It is extremely important to them in terms of reps and in terms of confidence. Also, the winds were changing quite a bit yesterday at the half as clouds rolled in. Gano needed that time. I don't blame him one bit for nudging the band members to the side. They were late and unorganized, not Graham's issue.

In short, it's not a wise person that diminishes the importance of routines and reps on GameDay.

      Agreed on all counts. The thread just read a bit like the Rhule deference that was here early on, and especially in the back and forth with Bridgewater where everyone sided with Rhule and staff over Teddy just because they hated Teddy's play. Look how that turned out.
