NFL policy may be changing a tad...

This doesn't warrant it's own thread and we can all agree Ray Rice is a dirtbag but...

Bill Barnwell is pissing me the fug off.

It started a few weeks ago when he called the Panthers "bottom dwellers of the NFL". As in we were worse than the Cowboys, Redskins, and a plethora of other actually BAD teams.

Then today he retweeted a guy who said, "meanwhile the Panthers and Greg Hardy looked great yesterday."

As if somehow the Panthers are blind to domestic violence: newsflash Hardy has not been convicted by a jury and we have no idea what Hardy did because there isn't video evidence of him cold clocking a girl.

I'm not defending Hardy, but I am saying that Barnwell is mad the Panthers are doing well and is shifting the blame to act like we are morally inferior.

That neckbeard had a vendetta against Marty Hurney and can't admit he was 100% wrong about our team-Greg Hardy aside.

No, but Hardy was found guilty by a judge. We're doing the same thing the Ravens were doing, sitting tight and hoping the whole thing blows over. We're just fortunate there's no tape.

Two games for that. Yet Josh Gordon gets suspended the whole year for weed.

For weed!  You would think a league that encourages 200 plus pound men to run into each other over and over would allow them to puff a bit of cheeba.  Especially since they can take foot long needles and stick them into your body on the regular to keep players on the field.

Supposedly, they are close to agreeing to change the drug policy, specifically for marijuana, in exchange for HGH testing.

An obviously biased judge.  Any other judge probably would have dismissed the whole thing for the simple fact the girl showed up fashionably late to the trial.  Everyone has stated the trial itself was unusual, and most likely it would have been over within at least an hour.  That trial went on into the night.  Plus after reading all the comments, how the girl smiled when the judge announced the verdict, you can't seriously take that trial seriously, for lack of better words.  I mean if Hardy was truly guilty of what was said of him, how is it he's facing no jail time?  He was accused of a threat of murder, yet no jail time?  He was found guilty of assaulting the woman, and no jail time?  Come on man!  At least wait until the jury trial before we make any kind of statement.

I completely agree with the situation of cutting Ray Rice and was pissed how this unfolded.  With that said, am I the only one who is getting shocked by some of the absurdity and how everyone is trying to outdo each other on how they would never hit a girl on TV.  I heard Keyshawn Johnson say that if a woman has a weapon, as a man, we can just take it away...Is this an adult we're talking about?  Soon it will be "I don't care if the woman is in a car, driving full speed at you, just dodge the car and remove her from the vehicle".  I mean, Seriously, it's almost venturing into the realm of actually demeaning women now.  Just make the point to not hit women and stop acting like women are children.

What wait a year after a guilty verdict to say something about a guy that, at the very least, left marks on a woman? Doing that is as ballless as what the Ravens did with Rice. You clearly have a double standard when it comes to our guys versus their guys.

Hardy is not facing any jail time because nobody really cares about domestic abuse. Ray Rice didn't get any jailtime and he knocked a woman unconscious. You can tell yourself what you want, but that doesn't make it true.

Agreed, I felt odd when he got a sack sunday, I was happy, but not happy that it was hardy.

Because the Ravens cut him first his signing bonus is prorated over the next two years right? What if the NFL banned him first?

I don't think it matters, its part of the player evaluation of the team to make sure the player doesn't get in trouble. I think they count towards the cap but as far as actual cold, hard cash, i don't think the players get that.
