I saw it reported that the NFL did see this. This is a disturbing turn of events if you ask me. The video alone ought to give him more than Rothlesburger got. The NFL has a serious problem on their hands here. The one thing they do have is the ability to modify the suspension. It isn't a court of law. Make this right....also, Ray Rice is a disturbing individual.

She slapped him, and then they walked down a hall and got on an elevator. That garbage excuse is invalid. He wasn't defending himself, he was being the typical macho meathead. That's like someone robbing you at knife point, then you chasing them down the street and shooting them, then claiming self defense. It doesn't work that way.

Besides, how do you know Rice didn't assault her before the cameras showed her slap him? He also spit on her, which is also assault. It's obvious he has no problem hitting her. I'm sure it's not the first, or last time he has/will abuse her.

never understood the idea of self defense being used to justify attacks against victims that pose no immediate physical threat. Only cowards hit women or those that are physically weak. Self defense is when your life is in danger, not when your ego is bruised cuz some woman smacked you

The NFL has (almost) always given out 1 or 2 games for domestic battery. Been doing it for decades regardless of how hard the guy did or did not hit here. The sudden faux outrage over this because there is a video is hilarious.
