Pending is the word.  Pending a jury trial.  Rice never had a trial.  Took a plea to have charges dismissed based on probation and an anger management class.  Anyone angry with how the NFL has handled it should be equally or even much more angry with the prosecutor/judge handling the case in court.

NFL couldn't get the video but TMZ did. Sounds to me like the NFL really didn't want to get the video.

 

If one of the really good investigative reporters starts digging deep into this story (and they may already be doing just that), Goodell may be headed for trouble of his own.

From what I read earlier, the NFL, nor the Ravens, had seen the video prior today, BUT they did say that the account Rice gave them of what happened completely matched what was seen in the video.

That's a start and it gives different scenarios of what may have happened. If someone finds out what exactly did happen, some people in the NFL might be packing up their desks.

I meant the part about although the NFL didn't see the video it is exactly the story that Ray gave them. I just read the Deadspin article though.

Idk, I'm starting to feel like Goodell is going to be forced to add to the suspension.

 

Pacman Jones recently said he felt like Goodell was a good commish but that he too often makes decisions based off of public reaction.  Looking at twitter, he is getting roasted...  Not just from fans but from highly-regarded NFL guys...  London Fletcher just tweeted Goodell saying how disappointed he was in him.  There's also reports that Rice has lost virtually all of the support he had in the locker room now that the video is out and has been seen.
