yeah i agree, basically what im getting at is Goodell fug up when he didn't suspend him for a year and the ravens didn't terminate him............instead they suspended him for 2 games and he was still employed, now the media gets a hold of footage and Goodell crumbles like pop tarts, and suspends him indefinitely........this falls on Goodell and maybe the Ravens organization more then Rice IMO, Goodell should have either stand by his initial punishment or admit he made a mistake in the original process.......at his position you can't be easliy swayed by the public

I have plenty of females of my life. I'm also in the criminal justice field and have seen women beaten much worse than that. Maybe I'm just desensitized but Ray Rice just gave the woman a love tap compared to what some dudes do.

The Ray Rice story has given all other sports carte blanche to dump their poo stories knowing no one will be paying attention.  In order of stories to be buried by this:

 

1. Atlanta Hawks owner's racist emails.

2. Penn State's punishments pretty much being wiped away.

3. NJ allows for sports betting.

4. USC's drama @ Stanford.

 

Dan Patrick taught me that if you wanted to bury a story break it at 5 o'clock on a Friday.  This is everybody's Friday.  They may as well announce the Bills moving to Toronto, LA getting 2 teams, and an 18 game schedule.  It couldn't get worse for the shield than this.

Rice said it was self defense which the video shows that isn't true, she smacked him a couple times but no need for him to slam her head against the elevator wall, Goodell's the one who saw this video or either he didn't bother trying to see the video and handed out the 2 week suspension..........then it becomes public and he all of a sudden thinks he's doing the right thing by suspending him indefinitely when he should have at least suspended him 8 or more games before this came public SMFH

desensitized for sure.  If you hit your woman with a right and she gets knocked out for over 1 minute you are a pathetic coward with no self control.  I have dodged more than one crazy woman swinging on me and it always ends with her getting snatched up and calmed down.  Now if the bitch had a knife, different story.

I agree, but if Goodell and the Ravens knew that this is exactly what happened OR had seen this video then they are definitely to blame.
