Chance to scout Detroit Tomorrow

Detroit is projected to be a possible wildcard team, at the very least the past few seasons they've started strong.  Once again we'll be facing a new coach.  It's invaluable for us that 1) we get to play Detroit as they're coming off a short week and 2) we get an opportunity scout some of the wrinkles their new coaching staff is putting in. 

 

It will be interesting to see how they come out the gates.  More critical is a chance for Rivera and company to take some valuable notes. 

 

Rivera gets a nice opportunity to clean up some of the strategic blunders he made against Tampa Bay especially towards the end of the game. 

 

We might be able to get away with a "go conservative" approach late in the game against Tampa, but against Detroit that might result in a loss. 

 

Everyone gets a day to enjoy the win, but it's time to turn to the next opponent.

Yes this is great to play the Lions on a short week.  They have an explosive Off so hopefully them having a few less days to prepare for our def and maybe it was good DA started, maybe we have some new wrinkles with Cam that have not been seen as of yet.  So ready for the next game, will be a tough one.  KEEP POUNDING!!!!

I'm ready to see Cam back at the helm, but something has me uneasy about being on the field with Suh who is a likely candidate to exploit an injury.

Two things going for us: 

1) They'll be playing on a short week.

2) That Detroit secondary is basically non-existent. 

There's probably more things going for us, but I don't feel like thinking of them.

I'm anxious to see how Ebron looks. That offense is full of weapons but Matt Stafford is still their QB so you never know what your going to get out of him. My main concern is keeping Suh at bay.

I think the key, like today, is a healthy run game.  I think we need to run right at Suh early and often.  We need to control the clock, and capitalize in the redzone.
