If you want to see how the game should be played (Broncos vs. Colts)

We need to score more. Plain and simple.

No one fears our O.

They fear our top ranked D.

Shula is not an elite play caller. Anything less than elite should not be tolerated in Car.

I agree we need to score more points.  However I don't see where the blame keeps falling on blaming Shula.  The talent difference between our Defense and Offense is pretty big.   You are looking at a team like Denver and watching them put points on the board, but are you watching the Oline play?  Do you see how clean that pocket is?

We are not that kind of team.

Couple that with the fact that our best play maker was gone.  It was an outstanding effort by Shula for us to score 20 in my opinion.

Also maybe Tampa doesn't suck maybe our D just made them look that way.

So they were gassed coming out of halftime? They looked bad from the start of the 2nd half.

Give credit to Luck and the Colts coaches for making changes.

Now, Denver's D was gasses in the 4th. But that also had a lot to do with Manning not able to move the ball.

Didn't they give up only 3 points on two straight first and goal situations in 3rd Q?

Then they were gassed. Efficiency is all that matters. I don't care about pace. If we want to go fast no huddle I am good with that as long as we stay efficient. But our defense will statistically suffer. We will give up more points and more yards.

It is nonsensical to think that if we ramped up possessions and pace that defensive stats would stay the same as they are now.

We are 17-4 over last 21 regular season games I believe. I say let's not fix an unbroken problem.

48-33 as an OC. Maybe not elite, but record speaks for itself

Um you can not use W-L record for assessing positional coaches.

HC yes, not OC and DC and any other coach you wanna name.

That would be like someone saying the DC from Texas A&M was good last year because they had a good record.

No they won because of their O. Just like we won because of our D.

They still marched the ball all the way down to the goal line. Not good.

When you have a poor OL you simply must design plays to get the ball out in a hurry.

Tampa Bay sucks. McClown is a career backup. They have no OL. They will be lucky to get 5 wins this year.

Ok well atleast can can agree we need to score more points.

That is my only point. We as fans should not be satisfied with scoring 17-21 points a game.

And might I add, Andrew Luck sucks. I don't see the "elite" all these writers see. He is missing throws, holding onto the ball long, making stupid throws, etc.

He's a great stat padder. Suck early and play with nothing to lose at the end. This dude is gonna be 'gonna be great' forever. Just like Cutler.

We as fans should be satisfied with the 17-4 record we have had over last 21 games though

I could not agree more with you. Like seriously, more times than not he is the reason his team is down by so much. He forces throws into tight coverage and constantly gets picked off, causing his team to fall down early. Then (like you said), he pads his stats when he has nothing to lose and then the media portrays it as "Luck brings his team back" when he was the main reason they were down by so much to begin with.

Answer me this.

Is Shula a great / elite play caller?

Can't really answer that for you.  Great/Elite is subjective.

Belichek wasn't a genius when he got fired from the Browns.  What changed?

Chud went from offensive genius in 2011 to overated glory ***** in 2012 whom know one likes.

Ron Rivera went from OMG lets get Gruden/Cowher to Riverboat Ron coach of the year.

This is what I know about Shula.

I know we are 13-4 Since he took over.

I know we are dominating teams in TOP.

I know we scored 20 points against what everyone was saying was a pretty good/going to be good defense without Cam.

I know offensively we can't do all the things other teams could do based on our personnel.

Great or elite is not subjective.

For HC it is W-L's

For OC and DC's it is top ranked units.

Dont know about you but I aspire for super bowl victories. Anything less is a disappointment. I am sure if you asked Cam he would tell you the same thing.

What does that have to with anything?  You want stats and high scoring offense.  If all you cared about was Superbowl then you would just be happy for the wins.  Everyone wants to win going away, but if we win the rest of the games scoring 3-0, I am happy for the W.  So why do you have disappointment when we won?
