Why don't people accuse Peyton Manning of using PEDs?

Best player in the NFL is 38 years old after years of shots to the body and head? In any other sport, someone this old and this good would be accused of using something illegal. Peyton Manning never is. Why not?

Because he is clearly not.  As a QB he is actually pretty limited.  His lack of arm strength means that there are certain throws he can't even make any more.  He compensates for it because of his freakish understanding of the game of football.  I do not like Manning at all, but his genius is hard to deny.  The fact that he can operate at such an other worldly level despite playing with what amounts to a substandard (for him) throwing arm is amazing.  Like I said, I am not a Manning homer but you have to give praise where praise is due.

it isn't like he's leaving the pocket and trucking safeties on 60 yard touchdown runs or anything

 

with one major exception he's been generally injury free throughout his career and doesn't take that many sacks thanks to his pocket presence and release

I'd teach any valuable QB to never dive on a fumble. Seen way too many broken arms on those plays.
