All Anderson proved today is...

Did it bother anyone else that Rhonde Barber kept saying Anderson was doing great, considering he hasn't played in three years?

Like the dude has been at home chilling on the couch eating Funyuns. DA has spent his time in Charlotte practicing and learning the crap out of the playbook. And it was readily apparent.

I think DA has a very good level of synergy with the team, and that kinda elevates his level a little. But I don't think he could carry a team for an entire season. He's best used in 1-2 game bursts.

Afraid?

He was already #2, so you are saying all he proved today was.......nothing

Your mind failed.

All that matters is some thought Joe Webb should be the backup, therefore, saying Anderson proved he should...should...should...should...should...should...should...should...should be the backup is permissible.

Did I mention that "should" was the most important word in what I said?

I never said he wasn't.

What you said is the equivalent of saying, "McCown shouldn't be starting for Tampa" means you're saying "he isn't starting," and that's just dumb thinking.

Dude was crisp with the checks and audibles.  I'm talking seamless transition when he didn't like a defensive look.

I get what OP is saying, and I am happy to have one of the best back ups in NFL.

Having said that who is to say Webb wouldn't have had a similar or better game?

It was Anderson's gig to lose, and he more than showed he should keep it, so the reality is it doesn't matter what Webb would've done. It's possible he would've played better, or worse, but it doesn't matter; he didn't have a #2 position to lose.

Ronde was such a homer all day.  They really shouldn't let former players of a particular team do their games.  especially when they are just starting out.  It certainly appeared we were listening to a Bucs broadcast as you would on radio instead of a regionally televised game.

So what you are saying is that you do not really know whether he should be #2 based on playing ability, just that he didn't lose the #2 spot in this one game?

You should edit OP from "should be" #2 and change it to "still is #2"

when did Cam become soft like Sam Bradford or RGKnee?

hes been an ironman up until this offseason.

You know how it goes.  An NFL player could have had an injury free career, hell...even an injury free life...but once he stumps his toe he becomes injury prone and gets the ole: "If he can stay healthy," phrase sprinkled all over him.
