Gano vs FSU Band

Hmm ... should I practice something I've practiced a million times? Or be a dick while these kids get a rare chance to play during an NFL game?

This is pretty stupid.

He's a paid professional practicing his JOB.

The marching band came late, DURING HIS TIME, and wouldn't move.

He wasn't being a dick, he was being a professional athlete.

Gano tweeted on Monday that "all is forgiven'' and that he has offered the "extremely talented trombonist'' identified as Marquel Ballard, an Atlanta Falcons fan, two tickets and field passes for Carolina's regular-season finale in Atlanta.

I no longer feel sorry for the trombone player. He's a falcons fan :-)

They band came out with 3 minutes to go. They were unorganized and late. Sorry, not ready for prime time.

And anyone that questions the need for reps at halftime clearly has zero clue about sports in general. Zero. Anything sports related is 90% repetition.

There's an article on www.tampabay.com where the band director is apologizing for being late. Apparently, Gano was on the filed doing his routine when the Bucs allowed the band to go out on the field. The Bucs should have never allowed that to happen but it's the Buccaneers so I'm not surprised.

Way above and beyond by Gano. Very classy, and he wasn't in the wrong in the slightest.

Their halftime performance means nothing. Gano is an elite professional athlete, his reps are FAR more valuable than the bands little performance in front of a crowd that isn't even paying attention to them.

Those empty seats take offense to that, they were totally digging the performance.
