Get ready to see Anderson start

All those who refuted my statement that DA could start for half the league want to reconsider now? Lol... prolly should. He was the 7th highest Fantasy QB at the end of the day and likely would've been higher had he not had cramps in the 2nd half AND had Olsen hung onto that last pass down the seam, which would've likely been a TD.

Yes Cam that is even a fraction of himself still gives us the best chance to win. It opens us our playbook more and not to mention he's the leader of the offense. I believe we would've had more points on the board than we did today. The game was a little too close for comfort.

Btw, him sitting out with the ribs worries me very much seeing him land on the IR since ribs can't feel much better after 7 days. I hope I'm wrong, but I kind of believe we're delaying the inevitable.

If Cam had played and had DA's stat line, you would be jizzing all over yourself and talking about what an all pro performance it was.

Laughing my ass off at all of the douchebags saying that we would lose with da playing

I don't see what's wrong with thinking that.

I mean, I admit I was wrong about DA Sunday but here we were going on the road led by a QB who hasn't started in 4 years. That's justifiable concern and it's fair to think your team is gonna lose with its backup QB starting. I picked them to win for awhile but I thought DA would struggle some and we'd play very conservative styled offense which would lead to a loss. I was wrong.

However it's unfair that you either think Carolina will win or you're a "douchebag". Lighten up.

You really think the caliber of QB Cam is, that he is a lesser QB even with an injury than DA? I don't think so. This is why I think the injury is more severe and we'll wait till midseason to see if he can come back.

I think we sat Cam so that the injury didn't get any worse. I don't think anyone on the staff believes Derek Anderson is a better player than a banged up Cam. They just want Cam to be as ready for the long hall as can be.

My comment was directed at all of the idiots here who are still not giving DA any credit for yesterday....not necessarily those who thought we would struggle with him at the helm.

The fact is that a big portion of our fan base would rather lose with an injured Newton, than win with anyone else.  It is similar to the cult following Vick had when he was with Atlanta.  It was all about the player and not the team.

Newton, with good ribs and wheels obviously brings more to the table than Anderson, but, if you take those things away, he is no better.  To think he can play better than anyone even though he is hurt is a special kind of "Camerism/homerism" reserved for those who might not even follow the team if Cam had really gotten hurt, like a season ending injury or something.

Ron did the right thing.  Cam will have to be medically better next week than he would have been this week if he had played.  He and the team will need to be better against Detroit as they are a much better team and will put up points

Please show us all these fans who would rather the team lose than sit Newton. That "fact" only exists within your mind.

Classy as usual with the Vick reference there stirs.

Interesting alot of people coming out and giving DA props NOW after the game, when they were silent while he was being poo'd on the past few days.

We won. Cam didnt take any hits and has another week to work out the soreness, and all the people who put the TEAM down, or the ones whom are suddenly vocal about DA (yes, the ones with high post counts) when few were giving him a chance need to spend Monday thinking about how they dont know poo.

I'm assuming that's a no on the possibility of you providing a shred of actual proof for your dubious claim.

Serious question, how much does it chap your ass that Cam Newton is our franchise QB?
