God I'm glad a lot of you don't have absolutely anything to do with team decisions. I'm sorry but I'd rather have a healthy Cam for 15 games rather then just one you dumb short sighted ass fugs.

Any other game, sure sit him. With this being a division game, let's see who is short sighted if we miss the playoffs because we lose this critical DIVISION game. Pretty poor choice of words.

My thing is, you can't sit a guy because youre scared he might get hurt. If the doctors say look, if he plays this can get bad, then sit him. But don't sit him if he can actually go, whatever padding he has should protect him just fine.

They are not scared that Cam might get hurt....Cam is fuging hurt.

not really getting the logic in some of these responses. Cam is obviously hurt to the point where his injured ribs will prevent him from being the cam we're used to seeing (running, standing in the pocket and making last second throws while getting hit, and his mobility in the pocket).

Given that, I really feel a healthy DA at this point is better than an injured cam and gives us the best chance to win.

Look man.. I totally understand that however.. To me. It's much smarter to have DA come out to start the game and if needed bring Cam in but even so. I garauntee the actual game plan is to shove the ball down Tampa's throat slowly and methodically and wear them down and tear down the Buc's.. Basically we are going to try and out man them in this game. A lot of fans are going to cry in out rage that we aren't aggressively attacking like they'd like to see but honestly it'll give us the best chance to win with where we are as a team right now. It protects us against our biggest weakness and will give the line time to gel and get that confidence they need. If the plan goes well you'll see mainly play action type of passes and a lot of 3 clouds and a pile of dust.

All that really matters is that we keep the defense well rested and we limit our mistakes.

I think Cam plays or he's inactive. He's too competitive to sit in uniform and not play.

The same thing can be said next week and the week after that and the week after that and so on.. It can take months for a rib fracture to fully heal. Can't play scared and can't coach scared.

Missing one week isn't going to magically heal him or get rid of that pain.

That's why I don't envy the position Rivera and Co. are in. It's dicey anyway you slice it.

I'm just looking ahead...   if you sit him this week because you are scared for him,  as a coach...  then sit him next week and the following week also.    His fracture isn't going to magically heal in 7 days..not to a point where that fear is gone.

I wouldn't mind if they sit him until he is completely healthy ,  a couple months down the road..   our season would be over,  but the future of our franchise would be good to go as we move on to next season..   I'm just not a fan of the idea of sitting a guy out of fear..   You sit him because he is unable to perform and is not healthy enough to be out there,  not out of fear of what may or may not happen to him.

he starts Cam> Cam gets injured>no Cam rest of the season .............> also all on Rivera !!

youre right brah you totally convinced me. we need to sit Cam until he's 100% in week 9 or 10. additionally i think we also need to sit Luke and Star and maybe every starter and save them for the games that actually count, not these basically meaningless early season games. i mean it's a marathon afterall. but you know what it isnt? a sprint bro. it definetely is not that. Marathon.
