If I remember correctly Godfrey was pretty good at causing forced fumbles aka turnovers

Godfrey wasn't nearly as bad as some people talk about.  However his mistakes were glaring.   Couple that with the Front 7 he had to play behind and not to mention the horrible CB's we have had.  Theres's a reason everyone who took 1 year deals last year got long term deals this year. I would have loved to see an healthy Godfrey play behind this front 7.  However I am not sure it will ever happen at this point.

Whose the bucs #3 receiver? Do they have one?

-Louis Murphy but he's out with a back injury

-Chris Osuwu (6-0/196): undrafted speedster entering 3rd yr in NFL, he was Andrew Luck's #3 WR at Stanford. He's also one of the Bucs' two kickoff returners

-rookie 6th R pick speedster Robert Herron (5-09/193) who a lot of Bucs weren't sure would make the 53 man roster

I remember quiet a few people wanting us to draft Herron this year. For him to struggle to make the Bucs 53 man roster is a joke considering the talent at WR besides Jackson and Evans.

He had 4 forced fumbles in 2009 but never more than one any other season. He had 5 interceptions in 2010 leading the team.

He had 11 interceptions in 6 seasons (76 games) I wouldn't call him a ball hawk considering the most interceptions he had since the 2010 season is 2 ( 2 different seasons.

uhhhh sarcasm?

If not, why?

We've known for awhile Nornan isn't good

Norman is still young. So your point holds little water. Been plenty of guys that didnt do much their first few seasons who became good - great players.

I think Norman has the skills to be a very good corner, hence I am wanting to see him get some reps.

    • When we drafted Luke, we already had Cam, Smith, Olsen, Stewart, Deangleo, Gross, Kalil, CJ, Hardy, Beason, TD, Gamble (and maybe more I'm forgetting), we had a lot of great pieces in place. Going pure BPA for a player with Luke's potential when the LB you already have is different when you already have all those pieces in place.  Our OL right now is probably in a better shape than that team and our RBs and TE have potential compared to proven vets back then, but after that, the 2012 roster was in a far better shape than we are right now. We need a #1 WR, DEs, LBs, DBs, C, and depending who you ask a QB.  Going BPA at pick #5 when that player is a DT and your current best player on either side of the ball is a DT, seems irresponsible. If he's the only player they like that high left, then you trade back and go with position of more need at a slot that makes sense for the player while adding other picks.  If you trade back and he falls because other teams don't need/want a DT, then you consider him at that point because of the value.
    • This sounds like the same back and forth when we drafted a LB when we already had a LB or as mentioned prior back to back DLs. I want the BPA, if it is another DT so be it. (No not a kicker/punter for those people that think they are funny))
