Gerald McCoy Best DT in NFL?

Star in the top ten?

He's probably top 3.

It's hard to judge a DT on numbers alone.  I think team defense numbers are a better indicator.  We lead the league in sacks last year.  We were great against the run.  Had one of the best red zone defenses.  How much do the numbers fall without Star?

How the hell did you get that from what I said?  Did I say the word "trade" or "swap" or anything indicating that?  No.  Please revisit 3rd grade reading comprehension lessons.

I'll do that if you take a course in anger management.

-You said that right now McCoy was better.

-Out of curiosity I asked if you would trade Star for McCoy straight up.

-You said "no" because of age and contract numbers.

-I decided to ask a hypothetical question pretty asking all things being equal would you do it.

-You insult me.

What am I missing?

-No

-Said McCoy might  be the best right now (meaning it's up for debate)

-Why would you ask that?

-I never said yes or no, you're confusing me with someone else.

-Don't do that.

-You're welcome.

You're missing a chromosome.

Yes.  He is the best 4-3 DT in the NFL..  the fact that some of you actually question that,  makes me a little sad.    He is probably the only DT I would take over Star..  since McCoy is already a threat to sack the qb and he's one of,  if not the best run stuffing DT in the league.

maybe, but he didnt take the next step until last year, his 4th season.  prior to that, he was hardly in the discussion.  hasnt suh done more in the same amount of time?

The Bucs were 15th in league against the rush last year.  We were 2nd.  I'm not saying you're wrong, there's just not much statistical data to back it up.

Wonder what Zod thinks.

Yes, he does. In his 20 sack season, Watt rushed inside more than he did outside. Furthermore, 13 of his sacks came against Guards not Tackles. Jeez, is that much for your puny brain to handle? This debate has been made numerous times and the numbers support Watt being a DT.

A player of JJ's caliber and versatility deserves recognition. That's why he belongs in the discussion as both DE and DT.

Let's see these "numbers" then.

Or, are you just too caught up on throwing around insults, because you're too insecure in your own football knowledge? Oh, I know, you're probably too caught up in talking about how you could easily snag a chick like Brooklyn Decker. Ok mr. internet tough guy.

Turner is going to have his hands full.  As a rookie what better test than to put him up against one of the best in the league. He'll make mistakes but I think he will hold his own.  It helps him tremendouly to have another one of the bests in the league to go up against during practice day in and day out.  Star, KK, and Cole hopefully have prepared him for this task. This will be sort of like taking the final exam the first day of class.  Hopefully he's studied.
