I opened the thread expecting I'd make a joke like "Surprised they didn't get the Bucs mascot to do commentary," and then discovered they basically did.

OMG.  Fans are so touchy.  Who really cares what the announcers say?  They don't control the outcome.  I miss the days when an announcer can say something negative about a team without the entire fan base crying about it.

I'm sure that FOX was throwing Barber a bone since he is new to the broadcasting team, by letting him open up in familiar and friendly confines.

Give Ronde a chance.  He may be one of those that are so desperate to prove they can call a game without favoring his former team, that he may knock the bucs a lot more than he knocks the Panthers.

Honestly, Mick Mixon is awful. I know he loves him some Panthers, but listening to him try to stumble and bumble through... pretty much anything, is cringe-worthy. I'm not the biggest fan of Eugene Robinson, either.

If anything, he might try too hard to be unbiased and end up talking us up a lot more.

Ronde seems to be pretty impartial to me. He has in sight into both teams, the division, and the rivalry so it makes sense. I never hear biased comments. Tim Ryan on the other hand was the perpetual Panther hater week in and week out.
