On Cam Newton's Playing Status...

Well I just think the world already knows what DA is..

I just don't think he turned into a better version of what he was the last few years he was asked to step up

If I thought our traditional rush was better... I'd be on board. Hopefully they are better than I think

I wish we could have saw Webb start against Pittsburgh I am intrigued by what he could bring

Please. If they have to depend on Anderson for anything, any length of time; they know their fate. Trust me on that.

In the NFL it has to be next man up. Any player is an injury away from starting or an injury away from missing time. It happens to most players at some time. The team has to have someone else step up like McCown did for Chicago last year. Based on the preseason, Anderson has looked good. Webb too for that matter.

We talking about practice, not a game, not a game. We talking about practice man

There is a difference between Allen Iverson mid season playing 3 games a week and Cam Newton pre-season having played none for two weeks.

Clearly that is obvious, right? Tell me you are joking.

Plus they need to see how good Anderson is when it comes to being able to come in and win a game or several if needed. The organization can rest Cam and see what Derek can do In a game. This is going to be a tough game anyway so why not put in Anderson. If that happens it will be an organizational decision or Cam isn't ready regardless of his health. He has had few reps up to now for injury reasons.

That is just illogical.

"Hey, its a tough game, so lets put in our backups so we can know what we have in them."

This ain't the NBA. It's the NFL. 16 games. You play your best player when you can. Maybe Newton isn't ready and I have no problem with the decision to play Anderson (I just know he sucks). But "this is going to be a tough game anyway so why not put in Anderson" makes no sense. We know what we have in Anderson.

Can you imagine the size of the smile on Rivera's face when he shakes Lovie's hand after just beating him with his backup QB?

Lol anytime someone starts the Iverson rant, it's clearly a joke. Idolized the man growing up, damn shame what happened to him.
