Todd Gurley in the Late First Round?

I know this story.  But talking to other Panthers fans that are my friends.  They know D-Will is gone next year, and Stew can't stay healthy.  Gurley in the late first would be an absolute stud on our team and easily BPA.

I like Melvin Gordon a little bit more. He runs a lot like Jamaal Charles. But either way I would be happy to have Gordon or Gurley

The Panthers have throughout their history tried to rely on and wait for Receivers to develop.  This has proved ineffective.  I would prefer the shotgun approach: draft all the WR's you can and hope some pan out.

 

true--however, WRs do develop-many (around the league, just not in Charlotte) come of age as sophomores.  I think Smitty lived in the heads of these developing WRs--he referred to them as competition more than teammates.  Maybe I am way off base, but there were so many who did not develop here--If the problem is not Smith, it could be the pre-Cam QB play or Hurney.

i feel Like it doesnt matter how talented the RB is if he is getting hit im the backfield by 3 different defenders.
