Todd Gurley in the Late First Round?

UGA fan here. And no, we shouldn't.

RB doesn't deserve a 1st in the nfl anymore.

Late 2nd maybe, but that's if we were to move off from almost every single back on our roster excluding Tolbert.

I know this story. But talking to other Panthers fans that are my friends. They know D-Will is gone next year, and Stew can't stay healthy. Gurley in the late first would be an absolute stud on our team and easily BPA.

Couple things....

Let's let Stew start the season before we write him off.

RB by committee is the new way. We still would have Tolbert and Fozzy as well as Reaves on the roster. Do we really need a RB over other positions?

Tough to speak on a hypothetical BPA situation when we have no idea where we will be drafting.

Like I said in the first post, it's all hypothetical.  A great RB like Peterson can still lead you.  Hawks (Russell Wilson is a game manager, dude had like 100 yards in a playoff game), Vikes a few seasons ago.  Can lead to good things.  This is just me thinking we have a good season though.

Based on value and normal availabilty:

1. LT (This draft should be a good one for OTs)

2. DT (we need to remember that Edwards and Cole are old and ending contracts)

3. SS (I am probably OK with DeCoud and Boston --who is developing at FS, but SS is a bit cloudy)

4. OLB (Blackburn is probably gone and Davis is getting a bit old--find a backup LB)

5. DT (we need 2--however, this time, we break the habit of drafting back-to-back DTs)

6. RB (perhaps too high considering we can find them on the waiver wire and in the undrafted free agent market)

7. CB (depth at CB is not a bad thing)

Note I took no WR--Assuming our youth develops this year and we still have a vet or 2 under contract

Yeah man I hear ya....I just don't agree. No biggie.

I like where your head's at about drafting late though.

It would pain me to see us let a great one like Gurley slip through our hands if we could get him in the late first.  Could you imagine Benjamin, Cam, Gurley, and Olsen?  A running game with a passing game?  Sign me up!

A stud running back with an OL ranked 32? Yeah...all I see is an injury waiting to happen.
