There is no cutoff. With the exception of signing players from the PS of the team you're playing this week, any team can sign anyone's PS players to their active 53 at any time.

Big thanks to the NFL for the rule allowing 2 year players on the practice squad. The Panthers really took advantage this season with Hill and Lester.

I'm confused now. I thought we could only have 2 of those players. We now have Lester, King, and Hill.

Edit: NVM. King doesn't have the accumulated active games yet.

I would hate to see Tolbert run into the ground like that. He wouldn't last.  A healthy Stew is a much better prospect.

King was never part of the new rule.

 

He falls under the original rule. He wasn't active for a single game last year.

Fun fact: while Stephen Hill only mustered about 350 yards receiving last year, the leading receiver on the Jets had 523.

I think it's more of a system problem than an individual player's problem.

Its a new 2014 rule that allows each team a maximum of 2 players on the PS that can have up to 2 years experience.
