I really hate talking politics on a sports board. We all have one thing that in common. We are Panthers fans. Politics, not so much. Yuck. I come here to get away from reality of how blanking screwed up our government is.. Can we not leave political opinions in a different area of the board? Rant over. Go Panthers!

to claim him off of waivers, teams would have had to pick up his contract.  that rarely happens one week before the first game of the season.  our approach was much more common with no guaranteed money.  but if he ends up being productive, we will have first dibs on signing him to a multi-year contract after the season.

I've heard a couple of people say that, but if I recall correctly he was still on the original rookie contract, and that of a second round pick.

Not like he was on a multi-million dollar deal.

A sight to behold, just looking at how tall he is, the thought of him and KB as a no1/no 2 WR if Hill develops into a beast is just scary, if Hill and Benji play to their potential our offense could turn into a offense like the Packers or Saints type basketball, explosive type of offenses.

WR1- KB

WR2- Hill

TE OUT WIDE- B. Williams/Dickson

TE- Olsen

QB- Cam

RB- Tolbert/Stewart/D-Will

Yep....pretty beast.

just guessing, but 3rd year of 2nd round pick probably around or north of a million, compared to the 100k we got him for.  somewhat significant

Perhaps, but not so much so that an interested team would have been all that worried about the price tag is they really wanted him.

Factor in that if any other teams even looked at him, there was no mention of it.

That tells me the level of demand for him league-wide probably isn't as high as people think.
