Stephen Hill signs to Panthers Practice Squad

Why activate him now? It's not like he would see the field Sunday. Bitching for attention sake UnderwhelmingJThePedestrian

Not only that, Stephen Hill, is no where near a "Superstar" WR right now.

Not saying he can't be one day. But right now, Bersin (from what we've seen and hear) is better for the team.

Plus, Bersin's not the one to be replaced. Hill and Bersin actually complement each other.

kid is younger than Benjamin.... if we are going to allow Kelvin to develop then we should also work on developing Hill because you can't teach that kind of speed....

Yeah, the difference is, Benjamin's already much better and more advanced than Hill has even been (no official NFL game or not). Don't run away with that word "Development", and keep it in perspective.

You never heard the Jets front office as happy with Hill in two years, as the Panthers have been in 2 months.

You can't argue Bersin is anyway better than Hill because that is just untrue. All of that is untrue.

What has Stephen Hill done on a football field to warrant him being better than Bersin.

Some people are late starters you know? And with Bersin's, it remains to be seen?

Yes, Hill's a very talented guy physically. However, he's been a problem child on the field. He's just not developed well enough. Now, maybe the Panthers will get him there, and/or use him situationally. We'll see?

Now Bersin has something to prove on the field as well. We'll see as well?

Right now, I would say Bersin would be more useful in the Panther offense than Hill, cause hill sucks as an every down passer, and doesn't know the offense well enough (along with his questionable hands) to be an immediate deep threat.

I think you're totally overrating hill at the moment (not in the future), and are acting as if you've never seen him play, and/or just don't like Bersin.

Given that the deadskins were looking at him as well and he didnt even bother to visit, this is entirely possible he was told once he learned everything he'd get a promotion. it's also possible he just realized what a real NFL team in us looked like of course and didnt want to dirty himself with a trip to that hole.

gives us a chance to evaluate the guys we have and Hill in the meantime.

I also think he wants a quarterback

45 catches, 500+ yards and 4 TD compared to 0 / 0 / 0

Bersin has never even taken a snap in a NFL game. Remember when LaFail would catch "everything" in practice and camp and then disappear in a game? As every NFL player tells you, real bullets don't start flying until the regular season so we have no idea if Bersin can handle it.

Yeah, but Hill has already FAILED; which is why/how he fell in the Panthers lap in the first place. Remember?

Give Bersin HIS chance, for us to see what he can do (particularly in the Panthers offense, and now he works in it).

Bersin failed to make a team for two years...that's the reason the Panther have him. Remember?

Yeah, but Bersin wasn't a 2nd rd pick. Different developmental curve.

You can argue, that Bersin has done more with less, just making the Panthers roster, while Hill has been a horrific failure with his draft status and measurables.  If Hill could catch, he would have been a first rounder for sure.

Two different scenarios sir.
