I think that it's lunacy to argue over Hill and Bersin.  I don't think that any of you know more about personnel or WRs than G-man or Proehl.

Best case scenario: Hill and Bersin are our number 2 and number 3 WRs next year.  Worst case, their both gone if they can't cut the mustard.

Based on the comments of some of the players after Chud's departure (Cam being one of them), I don't think there's a snowball's chance in hell of Chud returning even if Shula did go. With as highly thought of as Dorsey and Proehl are within the organization, I think the new OC would come from within the organization.

I wouldn't put money on it but for some reason I think Proehl would be a creative-but not overly creative OC. Between his "Greatest show on turf" experiences & his "Damn OC Shula sucks but his offense still helped us to 12-4" experience, I think it would be interesting to see approach.

Bersin's stock is only so high now because everybody on here has done nothing but read training camp tweets endlessly since the season began and have lost perspective, which always happens in august. Smart money is that he, like most of the TC heroes on any team, will most likely creep into obscurity silently by month's end.

The main reason we brought Hill onboard is because of his measurables, and also because he didn't get a fair shot on the Jets. I mean it's mainly the measurables, but I can't emphasize this enough: he was a WR on the Jets. Santonio Holmes couldn't even get 500 receiving yards last year.

But back to the measurables. In the press conference the night we drafted Benjamin, DG was quoted as saying he breaks players down by what you can and can't teach. You can't teach the combination of size and speed Hill has, but you can teach route running and catching. I'm not saying if DG was GM in the 2012 draft that we would've picked him as early as the 2nd round. But now it's up to Hill to prove he is coachable and can produce. He will have to work his way up the system and if he pans out, the Panthers organization might as well have gotten the steal of any personnel transaction that has taken place this year.
