Fitz & Amaro for Benji and Sankey?

top dawg

Recommended Posts

I'm assuming you're trading Fitz and Amaro?

Given Fitz will probably end up being the #2 WR on the Cardinals by the end of the year and Amaro has Geno Smith throwing him the ball, then yes as

KB and Sankey are both starters.

Yeah, Wood, I have Fitz and Amaro.   I don't know if he'll go for it, but I might offer.  The only thing is that at the moment Sankey is behind Shonn Greene (and Dexter McCluster, but not really worried about him).  His receiving corps is Watkins, Patterson, Colson, Benjamin, and Austin.  His two TEs are Mercedes Lewis and Lardarius Green. He also has Gore, Foster and Ball at RB.

My WR corps consists of V-Jax, Decker, Maclin, Fitzgerald, Jordan Matthews, Denarius Moore, John Brown and Allen Hurns. My TEs are Thomas, Kelce, Amaro and Sefarian-Jenkins. My RBs are Lynch, MoJo and Moreno.

I picked 11th, so I was trying to piece together a team, and ended up light on the RBs. If Sankey would pan out and Moreno continues his play from last year, then I should be OK. I am number 2 for the wire, so hopefully I will be able to pick up another back sometime during the season. Looking to see where Mikel Leshoure goes, and I'm watching Dan Herron in Indy.  I was short on RBs last year but picked Moreno up off the wire and picked up Stacy a couple of weeks before he went off.

Anyway, thanks.

Don't sleep on Moreno. Reports right now is that he may be the lead back over Lamar Miller.

If he is available, look to pick up Benny Cunningham from St. Louis as he is the current #2 and given their QB situation, they will probably lean on running the ball a lot.

You're WR corps with Jackson, Decker and Maclin is pretty solid.

Make this trade all day.

I highly doubt the other person will take it though.  Sankey and KB have all the upside.  Amaro is basically worthless.  Fitz is still solid but he's a WR2 at this point.

Well, that's the thing. Fitz is still Fitz, and he may not really be the WR2 after all is said and done.  Sankey is fumbling his chances away right now, and has not exactly lit the world on fire with his YPC.  He has gotten outplayed by both Greene and McCluster.  I wouldn't sleep on Amaro just yet.  The Jets have to throw to someone other than Decker, and he's a proven pass catcher.

Sankey has is behind Greene only and is already listed ahead of McCluster on their depth chart.  Trust me, he will be the starter soon.

Amaro is and will be good TE but he's on one of the worst passing offenses in football.  I wouldn't want anything to do with him.

This trade is a steal if it's taken.

I threw in Thomas Davis. We have IDPs.   Don't know if it will be enough, but I'll see.  I already have a certain rookie LB in Oakland in mind as a replacement.

You must admit that his TEs are pretty sad. Mercedes Lewis and Lardarius Green?  I guess that's why he tried to offer me Benjamin for Thomas.  I told him that Benjamin would be nice to have, but Thomas is not for sale.  I am just wondering if Benjamin will outdo Fitz this year.  Fitz was a little banged up last year, so I'm thinking that he comes back with a chip on his shoulder.  I'm thinking that he will outscore Floyd again (The TDs made the difference), but we'll see.

Yea, his TE's suck.  Amaro isn't gonna help though.

Floyd had more yards than Fitz last year.  If Fitz has 2 less TDs and Floyd gets 2 more than Floyd is the number 1.  Regardless, he's a nice value piece.  I doubt KB will outscore either of them though.

Now my turn:

I have B. Pierce, Woodhead, S. Ridley, J. Hunter, F. Jackson on my bench.   Chris Ivory, Jeremy Hill, and RGIII are all on my waiver wire.  I really think I should snag Hill and drop Pierce.  Your thoughts?

My QB is Luck so I don't think RGIII is worth dropping anyone else for.

That's tough. Really tough. But I think that I would do it.  Ray Rice is primed to return to form if you believe the reports.  He did look pretty good when I saw him.  Now that Pierce has been concussed, that highers his chances to get his bell rung again (especially with his running style).  I know one thing: No way I'm leaving Hill on the wire.  Unlike Gio, he has the prototypical build of an every down back.  I would almost tell you to consider dropping Woodhead being that the Bolts added Donald Brown, whom I think is not just going to be sitting on his hands (and probably stealing carries directly from Woodhead).

I wouldn't risk any player on my bench to snag RGIII. It's not like you're going to sit Luck down.  Plus, you can keep a watch on Bortles and Carr whom I suspect will do a lot better than people think.

Thanks, guys.  I sweetened the pot with Thomas Davis and Allen Hurns,  So he got them in addition to Fitz and Amaro.

I still have the receivers that I originally drafted (V-Jax, Decker, Maclin and Britt). Plus I still have John Brown, Denarius Moore, and Jordan Matthews (if nothing else but a handcuff to Maclin).  Having Benjamin will make watching the games a lot sweeter. Not to mention my RB corps is a little heavier now with the upside of Sankey. Hope he doesn't fumble away his opportunity.

I hated giving up Davis, but Mack and Barr are still on the wire.  If they are anything like Keek and Kiko Alonzo in their rookie years, then I'll be straight.

Our friends & family league is 12 teams, with 17 spots to fill every week.  It's work, but it's fun. It's all for bragging rights.
