Reasons to be on the Stephen Hill bandwagon

I don't watch the Jets play unless we're playing them so I didn't see much of Stephen Hill. If you really think route running is his biggest problem then we should definetly sign him because that's what Proehl specializes in. Benjamin/Hill is the perfect combination if the Hill project works out.

Btw he did nothing in college compared to Calvin and Thomas. He just got the nod as the next "one of those guys" and had a great combine. Since then he has done nothing Except to help himself be out of a job n a team with avg WRs.

Waiting on a coach to help you just does not make for a great player. ill take my chances with a guy who earns it like Bersin.

I think our fan base believes in it's own talent way to much. Like that the answers on the roster bell will be fine crap. Like"why sign hill bersin is going to be elite this year" sometimes other teams trash is better than your own. Explore all options.

No, It's not that I or anyone thing Bersin is gonna be an all pro, but he is the first young diamond in the rough we've had in a VERY long time.  Benjamin is gonna be great, but the fact is no matter how good Cotchery or Avant is, they won't be on the team or maybe in the league in 2-3 years.  Bersin is young, and we NEED players to develop with Cam, we've begged for that for years.  This is why if you sign Hill, you don't do it at the expense of Bersin, that would be stupid, and I don't think we would.  You sign Hill, put him as our #5 ahead of Bobble Brown and cut somewhere else on the team and carry 6 receivers which isn't an unheard of thing to do.

Bersin has made all but 5 catches in the preseason. While i m optimistic about him i'm not ready to say he's a diamond in the rough. Hill and bersin are two different types of wrs,Hill is a vertical speed threat that we don't have on the roster. While bersin KB,avant, cotchery all are possession guys. I believe the two can coexist on the same roster without cutting anyone or moving to the practice squad. Move philly back down and roll with cason or bene at KR/PR. Honestly philly hasn't done much with his chances but catch a few muff a few and that's no reason to have a strangle hold on a roster spot.

I completely agree with that.  I did mis-speak, I agree that He isn't officially a diamond in the rough, I'd mean moreso to think he has the ability, but he has to get his chance.  Id be more than ok with dropping Philly back to PS or gone frankly and letting Bene or Cason return, we'd get the same results while adding a much more dynamic playmaker.  His size lends itself to Cams weakness and could potentially give us huge young targets all over the field.  3 years down the line with KB as our #1, Hill as our fly guy (#2), and Bersin as our slot with Brandon Williams as our TE gives Cam the assortment of weapons to grow with in his next contract that we've said we needed to give him for years.  If we sign him, you let Dwill/Stew go, address O-line and maybe grab a RB in the draft if Fozzy doesn't show promise (I know...I did actually just said this), and start to lock up our important assets (Cam and start looking at the contract situation for Keek).

    • First of all Sooners fan? Mods? Second if you think someone needs a specific reason to hate Texas you don’t watch real college football.
    • 100% even if rest of team is really talented if they march young out to be qb and he plays like he has for 90% of his starts the panthers have already lost doesnt even matter how good the rest of the team is or isnt and also makes it hard to even tell how good they are.  They need true competition for young this offseason.
    • It will be awesome to have an improved stadium to lose in I guess....   https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-file-rezoning-bank-america-111500840.html     The Carolina Panthers have taken another necessary step toward renovating their home of the present and future. Panthers Stadium, LLC, filed its rezoning site plan with the city of Charlotte on Monday, initiating an important — if mostly technical — step toward renovating Bank of America Stadium. The filings state that the rezoning relates “primarily to technical aspects associated with improvements to Bank of America Stadium,” and that the rezoning is required because “the current stadium zoning is out of date” for the team’s stadium renovation plans.   The planned stadium updates include new seats installed throughout the upper and lower bowls; stadium safety and security enhancements; a reimagined South Lawn Pavilion; upgraded restrooms; exterior enhancements (including LED video boards) and more. Planning for the stadium renovation project will continue through 2025, with construction starting in 2026 and the renovation’s conclusion in 2029, The Observer previously reported.
