This is a smart move. Low risk, let him learn the playbook, and if Bersin or Brown stink up the joint in the first 4 games, promote him to the active roster and give him a shot.

Few teams have used the new practice squad exception of having 2 guys with 2+ yrs experience, but #Panthers all over it. Hill 11 & 12 games.

Hill is more than worth a look. With Benjamin so far ahead in his development I think that puts avant in a position of not really having a role. If you think about it him and Jericho are essentially the same guy. The do the exact same thing. Avant was needed to help fill the gap with Benjamin's receptions and growing pains.

Now with Benjamin the unquestioned number one and bersin showing he is capable I dont see a role for the guy. Not to mention he hasn't validated a starting spot thus far. Hill would immediately be fast wr on the team and be a deep threat. The only one out side of kb we have.

Also philly brown doesn't deserve a roster spot because he can catch and muff a few punts. King was a better wr and if it was just wr skills would be over him. With that said move brown to practice squad and have bene or Cason return punts. Hill could contribute right away same way ted ginn did. Not the possession specialist but as the you won't sit in cover 2 and defend us every down role.
