Robert Lester IS practice squad eligible?

I understand that but Lester is young and still has a lot of upside. He was good in coverage last year the few games that he started. Yes he's looked terrible this offseason but he can still improve.

I question his work ethic and lack of god-given athleticism but I think those could be overcome. I just don't think he was so bad that we should've already given up on him. Oh well time to move on I guess.

Lester played in 12 games last year. The cutoff is 6 games to remain eligible for the Practice Squad.

 

 

Just think,we hardly got to know him. Oh welll,poo happens.

Lester was the worst DB on our roster this year. He had a terrible camp and terrible preseason. Time to move on.

Instead of counting $5 million against this year cap if we had cut Godfrey.  He only counts $3 million against the cap.

We cut Mikell last year and picked him back up when Godfrey got hurt.

I thought Lester was the future at safety going into last season. I thought he played well last season. Is there any news on Boston going to IR? I keep hearing about it but not seen any official sources.

Charles Godfrey must poo gold ingots

 

If you look at the Safeties on our roster you can see that Godfrey is a veteran player they hope can be versatile. Boston and Harper have injury concerns. Decoud is coming off injury but looking good. Then Colin Jones is a special teams ace. 

 

 

As for Jeremy's thread. We cut Lester last year too. I don't think he came to camp in proper shape, either via injury or poor judgement. I think he plays for us at some point this season.
