Can't wait to see who they bring in at Safety. Personnel does not look strong enough to me, I just know we HAVE to bring in someone!!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    About O-line, would love to see some immediate improvement by bringing someone in but would settle for the infusion of some good depth upgrade also. On the other hand I see potential in the youngsters we have and in allowing these kids to develop.

Marcus Lucas would be a great practice squad guy..hate ot see King go but you cannot run with 20 WRs.

Russell being released, along with Lester, is weird. Who the hell as safety for us if DeCoud or Harper gets hurt?

The question is not who is better at their given position when it comes down to the bubble players like King, Lucas, Nelson, Thomas, Russell, and Brown.

 

The question is who brings more value to the team during the season. King had no value on special teams. You know where King would be all season because he brings no value to special teams? On the inactive list every week for the season just like last year.

 

If King is going to make it as just a WR on any roster, he needs to out right win one of the top 3 receiver spots. I do not recall anyone ranking King as one of the top 3 receivers on the roster in any of the projections I read on the huddle.

 

This is why King got cut over all the others that he is being compared to for a spot.

Surprised they gave a roster spot to Ben Jacobs. I guess they are not confident AJ Klein can back up Kuechly.

Did you not watch any of the games? His inexcusable drops, his stats last season with us was some of the worst in his career and not to mention his history with other players. Smitty leaving had to be done for KB to develop and look as good as he has, Cam would have just locked on to Smitty and rarely target KB, you know it and I know it.

 

 

Sad but true. Just the nature of the game. The King (Smitty) is dead,long live (KB) the King.
