I liked King and hoped we would roll with 6 WRs to keep him, but this was inevitable as soon as we decided to go with 3 QBs. You can't have an extra guy at each spot, especially given Webb's experience at both position.

Throw in the fact that we very rarely go 4 wide and will probably do so even less this year with the amount of talent we have at TE, there was just no reason to have a 6th guy.

 

i kind of think that the decision to go with 3 receiving TEs had more to do with it.

 

tough to justify more than 8 receiving options with so many needs and so few targets.
