Person then said McNutt and King were last men standing after WR overhaul in the offseason, "now both are gone."

So, I'm guessing McNutt is cut as well... which is expected being that I thought he wouldve been gone before King.

What's the deal with Lester and Boston going to IR? I thought Lester only had a ankle sprain and Boston was back from injury practicing the other day? I missed the Pittsburg game, did they get injured?

Boston was probably too far behind to catch up and Lester struggled this preseason. Both stashed for next year.

I liked King and hoped we would roll with 6 WRs to keep him, but this was inevitable as soon as we decided to go with 3 QBs. You can't have an extra guy at each spot, especially given Webb's experience at both position.

Throw in the fact that we very rarely go 4 wide and will probably do so even less this year with the amount of talent we have at TE, there was just no reason to have a 6th guy.

Well I am happy we didn't cut or waive him. I am a big Lester fan and I know a lot of people on here want him gone but I still think he is a decent safety.

Btw we have jones and Godfrey as our backup safeties. Harper has ha injury problems this year and is coming off a injury plagued season.

Do we go after another safety or do people on here feel Jones or Godfrey can replace him if needed?
