Is Cam Newton Really A Franchise QB

Is that Nicolas cage as a cat? Sorry I been drinking tonight and don't get what your trying to say.

Also I'm just trying to be realistic. Right now can isn't a top 10 QB. I love cam and he's probably my favorite panther but I'm also not going to let that make me be in denial about what he is. He was the best QB. Choice we had in the draft and could be a top 5 QB one day but after 3 years he is not.

It's funny how this forum responds to any negative criticism of Cam. All of OP's thoughts are reasonable.

Reasonable? Based on what? Is Cam perfect? No. Does he throw off his back foot at times? Yes. Does he make bad decisions at times? Yes.

But so what? Anyone who's actually watched quarterback play will see that every quarterback alive does these things to varying degrees. Nobody's remotely close to perfect, even the QBs OP thinks Cam has to be compared to. Brady's deep ball has abandoned him, Peyton can't throw a deep out to save his life, Rodgers uses his mobility just as much as Cam does to extend plays, Brees is mortal outside of a dome, Andrew Luck makes even dumber decisions than Cam but has a horseshoe lodged in his rectum, etc. etc.

Is Cam a franchise quarterback? Yes, by a factor of a billion.

The fact that someone even asks the question shows their obvious ignorance on what a franchise quarterback looks like.

So, if I come off as judgmental and anal about the topic; well, it's because I am a raging asshole and DGAF. And I'm right.

Not every franchise QB is a Manning or Brady. Those two may well be the two best QB's to ever play the game. Using those guys as the minimum benchmark for a franchise QB just isn't fair.

Cam is as much a franchise QB as Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, Philip Rivers, Matt Ryan, Matthew Stafford, etc. Is he a Manning/Brady? No; but who else is? Brees and Rodgers might have an argument to be put near that category, but that's it.
