Yea I mean I'm rooting for Bell to step up but lets all be honest here...Panthers were lucky to have Jordan Gross.  He was one of the best LT's in the league for a long time.  You can't expect a UDFA who hasn't played the LT position in the NFL yet to be able to match the production Gross had.

Bell looks like an all pro brick wall on one play and gets beat like a drum on the next. He is consistently inconsistent. I really hope he figures it out soon.

Cant seem williams, cole or jones being cut.

 

Williams is too good on special teams and brings a lot of athleticism as a back up.

 

Cole would have been a solid starter had Star not been drafted.  He's massive and strong, just not as explosive and doesn't move nearly as well as Star.

 

Jones is also a ST ace and is probably the fastest guy on the team.  He has limited upside as a safety, but he can be used in emergency circumstances.

This would be shocking. I think Brockel, Jones, and WIlliams are locks.

Bell looks like an all-pro on certain plays. Absolutely man handles guys. He isn't as bad as you put him out to be.

OVERALL HE'S SOLID 85% of the time so that's certainly enough to claim him as a "PANTHER OLINE STARTER"... the bad part is just that the other 15% of the time he's either beat, beatdown, chasing, or looking defeated. You can't win them all but who we have overall, he looks to be here for a while.

LT: Byron Bell - Garry Williams  (Williams may be the starter at some point in the season.  Foucault has looked good when I watched him.  He is ny darkhorse lineman to make the team.  so Norwell might go PS instead of Foucalt.

RG: *Trai Turner* - Chris Scott

RT: Nate Chandler - (Andrew Norwell) See above.  Isn't Norwell a G?.  I think he is a PS player here.

WR2: #Jerricho Cotchery# - Tavarres King - (Philly Brown) Do we go with six WRs, one being a returner?  Maybe, but I see King as 50/50.  The rest are locks.

QB: Cam Newton - Derek Anderson - #Joe Webb#  I have to think that a few teams around the league are interested in Webb or Anderson.  A trade would be interesting.  I like both as backups, but Webb, with his smiling attitude, mobility, etc.  just seems like the best fit.

FB: Mike Tolbert - Richie Brockel

RB: DeAngelo Williams - Jonathan Stewart - #Fozzy Whittaker#

DEFENSE:

LE: Charles Johnson - Frank Alexander Hard to send Horton packing.  This will be a very interesting call. I imagine one or both are being shopped around the league right now.

UT: Dwan Edwards - Kawann Short

NT: Star Lotulelei - #Colin Cole#

RE: Greg Hardy- Mario Addison - *Kony Ealy*

SLB: Thomas Davis - #Jason Williams# 

MLB: Luke Kuechly - #D.J. Smith#  I keep going back and forth between Smith and Jacobs.  I think Smith had the better preseason and probably offers more to special teams.  I would not be surprised to see both make the team somehow.

WLB: Chase Blackburn - A.J. Klein  I thought Klein would take Blackburn's job this year, but he has shown (bad angles, missed tackles and assignments) that he could be a year away--kind of like a James Anderson project.  I agree with this call.

LCB: #Antoine Cason# - *Bene Benwikere* - #James Dockery#  Dockery has the physical tools, but he (in my opinion) has struggled.  I see him as being cut, and a surprise like Byndum makes the team.

RCB: Melvin White - Josh Norman 

SS: #Roman Harper# - Colin Jones  I am  not sure Godfrey makes the team, but if he does, it is here.  Still, he probably will not make the cut.

FS: #Thomas DeCoud# - #Anderson Russell#  Where was Tre Boston last night?  Thought he was going to play.  If healthy, I think he replaces Russell here, since Jones can play both.
