What a preseason finish for Derek Carr !

NFL on ESPN @ ESPNNFL

HELLO DEREK CARR ! Carr leads Oakland to 2 touchdowns in 15 seconds against most of Seattle's first team

Raider Nation @ TheOnlyNation

I've seen the future, and it is Derek Carr. Fun Fact: The future starts now.

OAKLAND RAIDERS @ RAIDERS

Derek Carr is having a heck of a game right now. Excited to see the Future of Raider Nation at the QB position.

Yahoo Sports:

"Carr completed 5-of-7 passes against the starting Seahawks defense (yeah, THAT defense) and led a 12-play touchdown drive...Next time up, even better... Four possessions, four touchdown drives...But this isn't a new thing, either. Carr had been lighting up practices, too, and had he been able to finish the second preseason game and play in the third one against the Green Bay Packers, this talk might have started a week or more earlier."

Brady's Curse, in all seriousness Browns have been worse lol

Sent from my HTC6525LVW using CarolinaHuddle mobile app

It's just that since the raiders lost the sb in 03 they have lost 11 or more games NINE times. the 2 other years they were 8-8. The Browns since that same year have lost 10+ 10 times. with only one year of 10-6 where they still missed the playoffs. Which is worse?56 wins for the browns in 11 years. 53 for the Raiders.

Their depth chart should be inverted right now at QB going into the season.

McGloin

Carr

Schaub

If McGloin can't win a game early and Carr seems ready, then bring him on.

I was confused with their offseason at first but like how they rebuilt their OL.  Both MJD (especially) and McFadden could kill it this year and that helps out the whole team.  Streater and Jones are good WRs but that D is a work in progress.  Signing Schaub was their only mistake IMO.

As they say, I see the future and it's now. Not a bandwagon person but the kid is good.

Yahoo Sports:

"The Raiders have found their quarterback. There's no doubt about it anymore. Carr was electric against a Chargers defense that ranked in the top five of the NFL before this week. ... and he didn't have a tremendous supporting cast. Guys like Brice Butler and Andre Holmes were among his top targets on Sunday. Carr made everybody look good. He played like a polished, talented veteran.

The Raiders are going to score some upsets this season, probably because of the exciting second-round pick at quarterback ... In a season in which the Raiders have been so helpless that the head coach has already been fired and the possibility of 0-16 isn't outrageous given the team's rough schedule, Carr's emergence is an incredible bright spot.

The Raiders have been looking for a franchise quarterback since (2002 NFL MVP and Pro Bowler for 4 straight seasons 1999-2002) Rich Gannon was at the helm. They've finally found one. And in today's NFL, that's the most important piece of the puzzle."
