Best player in the league? You fools can't be serious.

On the defensive side? Yeah, you could argue that....bc it is easy to argue he is the best LB. Then the conversation is between him, best secondary player and best lineman.

So Watt, Sherman, Kuechly? Yeah, that would be a conversation knowledgeable football fans would have...

It would require him having a normal argument something that is far too complex for him

defensively or as a whole?

Of course on defense. You can't really compare offensive and defensive players against each other. The stats and values are totally different. Quarterbacks are always going to be the most valued . You really have to assess the value a player makes to his team. When Luke came here literally the defense improved dramatically when he moved to middle linebacker. He is arguably the biggest reason we were the number 2 defense in the league. David is a weak side lilnebacker on the 17 the ranked defense. Sure he is an elite player for Tampa but he is not as impact flu as Luke it to our defense. He calls plays and is the lynchpin of the defense.

You aren't going to convince anyone here that David is better than Luke. There is a reason that Luke is the defensive player of the year in 2013 and David is not. It is everyone's opinion not just ours.

I could give the nod to Kuechly. Sherman, until he shadows, is a scheme fit and we aren't 100% whether he could fit somewhere else(look up Asomugha and see what he did when he left Oakland). Watt can be taken out of games more often then not. Kuechly is best sideline to sideline MLB in game and has a nose for the ball. All though, and i've stated this previously, and I'm sure its been stated here...he does make the plays more beyond the line of scrimmage rather than behind or at it. But none the less I'd say you hit the main 3(currently) that could be up for the argument. Personally i'd add David, but we all know why(to deny he is a beast is to be just ignorant!!!).
