I will agree with you.  I think the only reason David didn't get selected as DPOY is becuase he is a Buc.  They didn't do well so he didn't get noticed.  DPOY means you were the best defensive player of the year.  Can you honestly say Kuechly was?

When comparing their rookie years... Star.  Didn't see where McCoy made the all-rookie team, did you?  Of course Short also made the all-rookie team as well, so it's good to have two top shelf DT's.

 

When comparing careers... McCoy, simply because this is his 5th season so he's had the time to develop and become better over his first 4 seasons.

 

Don't know who's better "now" though.  Haven't played any games yet.
