Captain made plays regardless of height, fearless player

 

height was all too often an issue, tho. limited our options and versatility. physically he could not match up with all wide outs.

 

he was also prone to losing his cool, which was not cool. wanna know why josh norman wont be seeing much play time? it's not because of a lack of talent. the guy has a lot of it and he's great about pissing off the guy he's covering because of trash talking, but he is also prone to getting carried away emotionally and until he gets that under control he will be considered more of a liability.

 

btw..munnerlynn wasn't worth the money he got in minny. same with mitchell. both were pretty good, but both benefitted from the guys in front of them last year. and if that isn't the case, then why, when capt hit FA last year, were there no takers? what changed? the dominant front made him and the rest of the secondary look better. it made success easy and lowered the bar re: the talent that was needed to get the job done. same will be the case for the secondary this year.

That's true, plus he got a pretty big day. Minny paid how much? Were you guys surprised as I was, at the number he got?

after last year i figured that all our FAs would be overpriced. players price tags rise when they are with a team with a winning record, regardless of how vital they actually were to the team's success.

Yeah they overpaid and we don't have the cap space to overpay replaceable players and I sure was surprise that he got overpaid.

 

The only thing I didn't like about him leaving was that now there are no Gamecocks left on this team which doesn't mean much anyway.
