Who knows what Harper is or isn't....

Saints run an aggressive scheme which can put secondary players in bad spots. We can run rush 4....and put average guys in great spots in they simply don't do dumb things. Harper could get the job done.....saying that isn't claiming he is good at this stage. Just that collectively it might get us through this season

yet I'm exaggerating ss wasn't a td machine and shouldn't be at 5'9 with cam Tolbert and Olsen his job was to loosen up the d so our other wr could make plays, you also fail to mention the two games he missed......that not lafell production, lafell production is not being consistent and not stepping up when his number was called but the steve smith thig is another debate.....Godfrey is a guy who knows the system I have more faith in him the Harper who's not hit the field yet

89 was 5th on the team in YAC. he wasn't loosening up defenses. 89 simply wasn't 89 anymore last year. He shouldn't be......and realizing that isn't negative.

Maybe if Godfrey wasn't coming off an ACL and looked even like his old self....I'd buy him over Harper. Until Harper steps on the field and flops I say he should get the shot

I know. I've seen a team I cheer for attack him and scheme against him for 6 or 7 years now. I know he is a weak link.

Even coming off a Achilles injury he's faster then slow ass Harper.

Either Harper or Godfrey will not make the team.  I don't rule out Gettleman bringing in someone off the waiver wire depending on how Lester's injury plays out.

What most people forget is we play our SS low most of the time. So being able to cover huge amounts of ground is not required. What they need to be able to do is tackle and read plays. That's where a vet is needed.

Lester has been pitiful.  He does not deserve a spot on this team.  Several, including myself, were hoping he would develop into a nice player.  Buy after the SF playoff loss and now this preseason, he should be gone.  He is nothing but a liability.
