This Is Why I'm Hot

the thing is that because of the threat that cam is to run as well as the other targets, esp. in 2 TE sets, that doubling up on any player will prove to be a mistake.

this 1000%. the truth is that Carolina has a bunch of tall, sure-handed (Smoo, Cotch, Avant, BB, Greg, Swole, Dickson) threats in the passing game, and at least three bowling balls in the backfield (Superman, Stewie, and Toldozer) for teams to worry about. if teams try to double cover anyone, other receivers will get open or Cam will scramble for the 1st and maybe more. if teams try to spy Cam, receivers will get open. if teams try to stop the run, play-action will be deadly with Carolina's tall targets. truth be told, i am not worried about this offense so long as three things happen: 1) Cam quickly gets in rhythm with his targets, 2) Shula calls quick plays that dont require Newton hanging on to the ball for more than 3 sec, and 3) Stewart continues to run hard and stay healthy. If those three things happen, this offense is top 12 this season.

going a little OOAL here, but i think that because of his physical style of play, catch radius, and his size that he will handle double teams as well as smitty did. that, in itself, will make him more impressive. people will notice and cam will probably force the ball to him anyway just like he and jake did with smitty. trust your #1 target will be able to get whatever you throw to him a long as you get it in the zip code.

Provided that Cam gets them the ball, hopefully he spreads it around and not just drop back and look for KB.
