How many "shots" has he taken on runs though? Dbs and even line backers aren't going to put a big hit on him like they do rgknee. I can only recall a few times he has actually been hit hard.

This. The vast majority of the big huts he's taken have been while in the pocket.

Question, if you coached a 30-37 year old Steve Young in a much more violent NFL than today's......would you want that older guy to play it safe like Peyton Manning does in terms of not passing the line of scrimmage?

You run in spots. Sure. But you see this stat called passing td's vs running? The record for running is what, like 27? How many qb's threw more than that last year? Maybe 10-12?

I think that's more related to the offensive design that any shortcoming of Cam's
