my piece of advice if you are going to play is don't draft panther players...but if you do, fight against drafting them before their ADP.

and defintely don't have more than 2 on your team. in fact dont have more than two from any team and try to keep it to just one player per team, esp. in regards to the passing game. if one is having a bad day, it's quite likely both are. spread put the liability.

KB went in the mid rounds of my draft yesterday. I think it was the 9th. I got our D in the 10th. Team Name is "Kuech'em while their down". I also got Stewart in the 14th. Pickings were thinning at that point and i figured he is a decent gamble at that point.

I was going to draft KB in the tenth but he got picked up two picks before mine.  Got the Car D and Cam though.  Picked up Cam in the 6th and grabbed the Defense in one of the final rounds can't remember which at the moment.

My rule in fantasy football is to always try to avoid drafting players from your own team, thus why I never have had cam or Smitty on my team.  The reason is, as a fan, you'll make a reach for them more than anyone, I let so many of my competitors do that, especially with friends in louisiana who draft people like Nick Toon, Kenny Stills, and Pierre Thomas.  That being said, I took KB in the 9th round, it's to good of a value.  He is clearly the #1 receiver on the team, and it's not even close.  He'll be a huge part of our offense, and be a big TD guy in the league with maybe even 1000 yards.  Last year, I took the Panthers D in the 2nd to last round of the draft (my only defense BTW), and I got laughed at and called a homer, then viewed as a savant as the panthers D ravaged.  As long as you understand the true value of each player from the panthers, you should be ok.

I did a writeup to this...I posted it below...thoughts???

Fantasy Football Preseason

I will primarily focus on fantasy football from a Carolina Panthers perspective. I love this team so don't take what I say as a discredit to the Panthers. I am just trying to set everybody in a good situation to win in fantasy football.
Now about those Panthers? From a draft perspective, there are not too many I would recommend drafting in a 10 or a 12 team league. Let's get started in the order of drafting. The round in the paragraph is the earliest I recommend taking him.

1. Cam Newton (late 4th round)
Cam had a few setbacks in the Patriots game but he is still top 5 QB in fantasy. At worst, he is top 10. His ability to still scramble and get rushing TDs puts him in the top 5 range. If you think his ankle, his back, and his ribs are going to hinder him then lower him on your board. I personally am not a fan of taking a QB this early but if you want him bad, he should be there here. I have seen fall to the 6th and 7th round. And that could possible be due to the injuries. If you are worried about his weapons, you shouldn't. Cam Newton has been a top 5 fantasy QB every year he has been in the league.

2. Greg Olsen (8th Round)
Greg Olsen was the leading receiver for the Panthers last year. I think there is a strong possibility that he will have a better year than last season. He was Cam's favorite target last season. There is only one Elite TE in fantasy and his name is Jimmy Graham. And you will have to spend either a 1st or 2nd round pick to get him. Then you got Julius Thomas, Gronk, Vernon Davis, Jason Witten, and Jordan Cameron. I would put Olsen after them which means you should have to spend a high pick on him and still have consistent points with him.

3. Kelvin Benjamin (11th Round)
The media has started eating their crow on Kelvin Benjamin. Kelvin has also made some pretty good catches in preseason. Those two things caused his stock to go up. Somebody in the late rounds will take a chance with him. If you're in a league with other Panthers fans, he could go higher than the 11th. But this is where I would willing to take him to sit on my bench as a WR4 or 5.

4. Panthers D/ST (next to last round)
I never believe in drafting a defense no earlier than the next to last round. Yes I expect Carolina's defense to be great. But I still don't want you guys reaching for a defense. I rather you guys build your depth on your team.

5. Graham Gano (last round/free agent)
His bye week is week 12. That alone gets me intrigued. Kickers aren't that important to reach. It's a matter of whether or not you want them.
I will answer all questions below and it can be about my fantasy football in general or Carolina.
