with a bum ankle and now the rib there should be a LOT of cause for concern.

It's clear newton is not playing with confidence. And it will take him getting on the field and being 100% before that changes.

Several months back someone said that Gettleman doesnt have faith in Cam as QB of the future and is setting him up for failure. Im starting to think this might be the case. I just get this feeling Gman is cold toward Cam for some reason.

Im going to get bashed in a big way here but im going to say it because its how I feel. Gman strikes me to be very old school and I just get this strong sense that he doesnt believe in african american QBs, its honestly the impression I have always got about him. Maybe im completely wrong and its possible but its a strong feeling I get.

If Gman does really believe in Cam explain why we have did 0 to fix the O line and literally got rid of our entire WR corps

I think what most are worried about is that preseason isn't even over yet and cam is already banged up.

It should at the very least be concerning for the prospects of having a healthy cam all season. No?

I thought we were abnormally healthy last year....I have been mentally preparing to positively roll through some injuries.

Look at it this way, he spent his entire offseason and camp working on playing without running....now he just has to implement that for awhile. and pray to the football gods our OTs overachieve

Yeah really, I'm not worried if he'll play, I know he wants to be out there more than anyone and will make it happen.

But I am worried about the first time he gets hit in the torso, doesn't slide again or heaves a bomb and puts that torque on his midsection.

Not sure how some of you guys are just blowing this off.

honestly we just need to pray it has time to heal before he gets hit there again. could be absolutely nothing other than some uncomfortable pain. But if he gets hit again in that same spot, this injury could go from inconvenient to bad.
