Cam not playing Thurs, has rib injury

"DA" fanboys. DA is at best, a back up. Stop acting like he is the answer and the offense will be fine without Cam, "no prob".  Did ya see the damn near 95 yard pick six, he threw? That's who the true DA is. He, after all these years, still cannot read a defense. Give it a rest already. If he plays, he plays.

Report: McNabb has broken rib
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on September 13, 2009, 4:39 PM EDT

As folks in Philly celebrate their local NFL team’s season-opening win with a mug full of suds, they might soon be crying in their beer.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb suffered a broken rib when he was hit in the end zone after scoring a touchdown in Sunday’s 38-10 shellacking of the Carolina Panthers.

It’s not yet known whether McNabb will miss any time, or whether he’ll suck it up and play.  (After all, it’s not like he has swine flu or polio.  Or lupus.)

If he can’t go, Kevin Kolb will get the start next week, when the Saints come walking in loose single-file fashion to the Linc.

Cam will probably be ready to go week 1. The pain will probably subside in a couple of days. Tony Romo had a more serious injury in 2011 where he had a hairline fracture of a rib but also a punctured lung because of the fracture. He wore a protective vest for a couple of games. and the injury did not cause Romo to miss any games. Too many alarmists on this board.

This, and the pre-season should be two games.

I remember hurting my ribs. Coughing and laughing hurt. It also takes time too time to fully heal. I remember going about two months in pain. Let's hope Cam heals fast because he will be in a lot of pain come week one.

I know it's anecdotal, but...

Back in high school I suffered bruised ribs. The day it happened it hurt, but the next three days I couldn't even breathe deeply or walk upright; whenever I did it was like a knife was poking my ribs. By gameday on Friday I was fine. I'm hoping these two weeks allow Cam to have enough time to rest and heal.
