Cam not playing Thurs, has rib injury

how would it effect passing the football?

I played QB in HS and had the same injury. It makes you really hard to breathe. You can kind of play through it but you can't really heal without rest.

I probably would have been fine with it during the regular season. I think he probably would have taken off down the sideline if he was 100% healthy but he was indecisive. Ultimately my biggest problem with it was the game didn't matter.

 

If you watched the play in question without knowing anything about the injury, would you have guessed he fractured a rib on that play?

 

By that logic, no QB's should play in the preseason anymore because they could get hurt.

Cam will probably be ready to go week 1. The pain will probably subside in a couple of days. Tony Romo had a more serious injury in 2011 where he had a hairline fracture of a rib but also a punctured lung because of the fracture. He wore a protective vest for a couple of games. and the injury did not cause Romo to miss any games. Too many alarmists on this board.

I heard that the fracture actually happened when Luke Kuechly (who hated being taken out after only 15 snaps) gave Cam a rather exuberant pat on the back.

Hard to really blame anything that happened there on the Oline. Maybe blame the receivers who couldn't get open or Cam for not sliding.

Yeah they said the knee caught him right in the crease of the pads, pretty unlucky.

At least we aren't Rams fans, maybe Sam should give TD a call. Gotta feel for him.
