Would you trade Anderson to St Louis?

No.

Nor do I think the Rams would want him. There are other guys out there that are young and may have some untapped potential; guys like Glennon or Cousins or even Ponder. They wouldn't give up anything worthwhile for a guy whose best days are perhaps behind him.

It would be different if they just needed a vet to win them a few games. They should be thinking more about a guy who could develop into a long term answer.

Bradford, I think, is on the last year of his contract. If they make a trade, I would think it would be for a QB they think they can win with. Which does limit their options.

Hill is a pretty good QB, so finding one better is not going to be easy. If they can do it at all. So as to the original OP, even though I wouldn't trade DA, the Rams' wouldn't want him anyway.

Hell no. If Cam's hurt and we don't have Anderson we are toast.

Anderson can at least make us competitive. I'm not sold on Webb. He's made some nice throws but we don't know that he can handle a whole game against starters. Also, trading Anderson makes Cam the most experienced QB on the roster. Although I think Cam is just about on his way to handling things on his own I think a vet like Anderson is still valuable to him as a mentor and teacher.

If Cam's hurt? We're hurt anyway. And at some point the student must become the teacher....., Trade for the highest value. Which in our case would be DA

DA has no value to anybody. He's not any better than what they have. Webb brings tremendous upside and youth.

DA has plenty of value to us and Webb brings more unknown than upside.

His athletic ability is > his QB skills.

He will turn 28 during the season so I'm not sure what you're talking about with this whole youth thing. Maybe he's a 'young' 28 or maybe that's poo sliding down the wall.

Our best run ever....was with our backup QB

A lot of these people weren't fans until we drafted Cam so clearly the only backup options are those that "resemble" Cam.

Nope.

Same here....DA is one of the best backups in the league.

We would get more for Webb, a guy most likely to not make the team? Ok.

Yea...not sure where the Huddle gets these people from.

In a minute. I noticed Bryn Renner was just released--a player like that to the PS, get Webb as the #2---

Maybe that was the plan all along when they signed Webb.  Anderson is not a great match for the Cam System.

LOL! So you think Shula has a "Cam system" in place?  Someone has not been paying attention.

Read options and the physical characteristics of the WRs and the additions of TEs.  That is for Cam.  To suggest that there is not a system in the offense that is geared toward maximizing his strengths.  The system is a work in progress; you cannot blame the OC until you have the weapons.
