'5 yards ARE better then no yards', because '5 yards' are plural, it just sounds awkward. A smoother way of saying the same thing would be 'getting 5 yards is better than getting no yards', because somehow, the 'getting' is singular.

Underwood must be truly, truly awful if he can't make this WR corps. Panthers are going to struggle to score 20 points a game. 

 

Well considering the Panthers scored 20 or more points 11 times last season with the sorry red zone receiving corps, I think they will be fine considering our schedule is loaded with a lot of horrible red zone defenses.
