I thought all the receiving positions were up for grabs when training camp started? Could have sworn i heard that, but if i were sticking to that Bersin would be the number 2 receiver if i was in charge.

Bersin has made some nice preseason catches. Did anyone see him and Cam work together or connect well in TC? Not sure if I've seen him catch a ball from Cam yet.

There were a couple of tweets of Cam, Bersin connection in training camp. He just hasn't played with the ones in any actual games.

Bersin has looked better than every receiver not named Kelvin this preseason.

I wonder why people are not more excited about him.

I'm still not big on Bersin. Some of you think he's our number 2 right now. That's not the case. I would still put Avant and Cotchery ahead of him based on practice and pre season. Avant and Cotchery's struggles have more to do with the offense as a whole and Cam than their personal performance. Avant is right, they are getting open.

 

I honestly think Bersin's ceiling is a 3rd or 4th receiver. A guy that gets playing time because better players are injured. If he caught 20 balls this season I would be shocked.

 

But really you guys sound absurd taking a cut twice, practice squad player and putting him in the starting lineup. 

 

Bersin is such an excellent route runner that his ceiling could be a 2, but we won't really know until he starts having actual game time with Cam and the rest of the starters.

Seemed like a really nice guy, hope he gets a chance somewhere else.

 

 

I am ready to ride the Bersin train into a fire also, the guy shows reliable hands, ability to get open and accurate route running. Like him a lot. Zod was on point with that guy.

I have absolutely no problem with this. So far, the younger guys have simply outshined him. Glad he gets the boot to either make room for one of them or open a spot for another vet after other teams' cuts. Best thing for Underwood too since it gives him more time to potentially earn a roster spot elsewhere.

He was in early against the Pats. Just never got a target from Cam.

I'm not surprised either, I had high hopes but it was probably due to his amazing hair.
