He was hurt, but Gettleman brought him here. No way he was getting cut last year. He's basically a poor mans Ginn. You don't keep him over a vet like Hixon.

Gettleman had a history with Hixon, doubt he would have made the squad over him last year. Underwood would have been cut last year as well.

Actually Smitty is in a much better position to get way better stats. Smitty will have single coverage in the middle of the field and he can use his veteran wit to beat it if Flacco can just get him the ball. KB will have double coverage mostly all the time and will be on the outside against corners and safeties. KB will have twice as many TDs as Smitty or more, but I wouldn't be surprised if Smitty gets twice as many yards. The thing is, if we had Smitty here as our #1 he wouldn't produce as well as KB will as our #1 next year.
