Not surprised to see him let go. I did think he had a chance to make the roster, but with Avant and Crotchery as the vets, plus the rookies/inexperienced guys, I suppose he just didn't show enough to get ahead of them.

Someone should pick him up.

Not really. Some vet players are cut to give them plenty of time to catch on elsewhere. It's a respect move.

Underwood may have speed but he has no talent at running routes. He was thought to be a decent Ginn replacement without the return capability but Ginn was at least a good route runner as well.

I have a confession to make. I was happy about him getting cut. Apparently, I have a prejudice against people with really tall hair.

 

I watched him play last year at Tampa and thought he would be a good pickup. Deep down though, I was never comfortable with the hair. Then I found out he actually bought a round trip airfare weekly to get it shaped up, so that brought his decision making into question. And to make matters worse, the hair didn't even look good on him. It wasn't possible for me to evaluate him as a player, because all I could think about was the hair thing.

 

Just had to get that off my chest. And I apologize to any and all Huddlers with hair that extends more than 12" above their skull.

Been saying Underwood was a ghost all preseason long. I wouldn't be surprised of one of the vets is cut as well, Avant or Cotchery. I would say Avant would before Cotchery.
