Continually saying stuff that makes a bunch of people tell you "you're wrong" or "you're dumb" isn't 'controversy'. It's making a fool of yourself for attention.

False. It was a fuss....and the reporter was approached by 89. It wasn't a spin job. All this was discussed in great detail in 2012. Pure 89 venting through the media about in house stuff.

That singular incident isn't why he isn't a Panther, nor is punching someone, nor is putting up LaFell/Ginn numbers, nor is it him being 35, nor was it his cost....he isn't a Panther bc of how it all adds up.

they didn't want an old, pain the rump, expensive, WR who wasn't putting up good production anymore....on a young offense that is being groomed/built for Cam in multiple aspects.

Also, what type GM would pretend the world didn't exist prior to 2013 when he arrived?

If you have to cut a guy for Cam to be a leader then he never will. I love Cam more than anybody on this board, but I really hope we didn't cut Steve Smith so that Cam could be the leader of this team. The Colts didn't need to cut Reggie Wayne

Thank you for injecting some rationality into this discussion.  Of these reasons though I would say his cost was the biggest reason.

 

DG inherited a bad team with a terrible salary cap.  He is cleaning up some of the bad contracts on this team.  I would fully expect someone else to be gone next year.
