This offense will miss Steve Smith

I have heard from reliable sources, events, issues, problems that would flat out change your opinion of 89 forever.

I still love Steve Smith, but I have moved on. The Panthers have to, more out of need.

Someday you will to.

^^^^  I'd trust this...

Beat up teammate WR Gary

Beat up teammate WR Bright

Beat up teammate CB Lucas

Name one other player in NFL history with 3 whoppings that didn't go down on the field with teammates? Heck, name one with 2.

Dude has legit anger issues....big time. That has been verified with his assaults, boneheaded plays on the field (often twisted by fans as him being a BA), and even him bluntly

89 himself even has stated part of the lockeroom would never forgive him for his poo

All the long time beat writers have commented on his in house attitude issues, wanting to be the focus and just being a pain. They also have covered the fact he doesn't work well others often.

Heck, going got tough in 2012 and he ran to the media making life on his 2nd year QB rough....that isn't what you look for in 10 yr vets.

If you don't think 89 presented issues in the lockeroom after following his career I won't be able to convince you

he punch 3 ppl in the span of 13 seasons there's kids that punch more ppl by the time they reach high school, steve smith is all about himself dude please your bringing up articles from years ago just like the punching teammates that didn't have any affect on the decision this off season, running to the media in 2012 wut? Made life for cam rough? Please elaborate on this

I understand that this is just for the sake of debate

Or at least be man enough to stand in front of the media and call him a distraction instead of saying it was a "football" move.

Everything was fine? You mean because we were having so much success on the field or because our cap situation was so well managed? Don't let the fact that neither of those things were happening interfere with your belief that things were great in Pantherland.

I think Falcons Hawley has matched that in just 3 episodes so far of Hard Knocks, twice against Falcons players and once against Titans playing in joint practices. Then again, they're "tough"!

Yeah, there are lots of little kids that assault or beatup more than 3 people. We done with that?

Let's talk about grown folk now. 89 assaulted 3 teammates while not on the field. The incident like Brights' was reported as down right scary. Name another NFL player with 2 in incidents then? Those are the huge major anger blunders that get thrown in our face that can't be kept in house. It is what is.....defending those actions of his isn't a debate I will have.

Yes, 2012.....89 went to the media in regards to Cam. Like Cam doesn't have enough as a 2nd year QB than to have his vet WR stirring up drama.

The first part is not a debate it's 3 incidents spread out over 13 seasons does that mean smith has some anger issues? yes but let's not act like those past events affected the decision this offseason.

As for 2012 that's false, smith has never intentionally thrown cam under the bus or his qb for as long as I can remember please name the vent your referring to

When a player beats the hell out of three of his teammates, does that make him a good teammate or a not so good teammate?

Does it sound like he would be open to receiving constructive criticism or would you have to walk on eggshells around him?

I loved Smitty. I loved his fire, passion, and playmaking ability but I wouldn't want to have a disagreement with him EVER because his history shows, you never know what the fug he's going to do. Great player - Yes.....Great Teammate - not so much.

I'll refresh your memory for you,

While he has a point, he went public with it.  One thing a veteran player should realize is you don't go public about your franchise quarterback.  Period.

Nope. 89's 3 incidents in question weren't during football play....

Those are on field scuffles....which happen. 89 has a lot of those too. Lots of players do. We are talking about assaults and attacks while outside the lines of play

Depends on the position he's known for getting into it with wr and cbs but not with other positions I agree not the greatest of teammates but I don't think those incidents played a role in the decision this offseason.
