This offense will miss Steve Smith

it all just makes me laugh

he was making these exact arguments with the exact same gusto and douchey "you'll all be sorry and i'll be waiting right here for you when i'm proven right!" tone about what a mistake it was to draft star over deandre hopkins in 2013 and how there was absolutely no chance in hell gettleman would select a wide receiver with our first round pick

i mean i can't be the only person who remembers that right

Jesus, that makes you look awesome.

You missed point sparky. The amount of money isn't tied to responsibility. I try to cut unneeded costs as much as possible. Nothing irritates me more than having supervisors on site sitting in a pickup watching their guys work.

You've been saying this for a while and now it's time to correct you. I never once said that drafting Star was a mistake. Not once. You can search until your fingers turn blue but you won't find it because it didn't happen. What I said was the Hopkins would have a better impact. Did that turn out to be true? Of course it didn't, not even close. But there were other factors that contributed to that outcome.

I read that as you specifically blew that much that often. Nevermind, G.

I guess you missed the part where I said manage, which means I'm responsible for those numbers as well as 10 other people under me. Some older and some younger.

yeah oddly the only time a nuanced argument is worth anything to you is when it explains away your own dumb bullshit

"guys if only the circumstances were different and the texans had a quarterback then i would have been proven rightttttt"

why should anyone take you seriously with your track record is what i'm asking.  so far out of like four or five "write it down bros i mean it" predictions keenan allen is the only hit.

I'm not sure what you want me to say? I admitted I was wrong about the Star/Nuk thing. I'm a Clemson guy forgive me, I'm biased. Just like I will admit I'm wrong if Smitty doesn't have a good year. I think KB is a stud and will take us places Steve never could, but that doesn't mean we wouldn't be better with both.

It's cool to agree with the decision, everyone has there reasons but can we quit with the silly excuses on why he really got cut, again it's water under the bridge but age, wouldn't take a pay cut, cap reasons, and letting cam be a leader are some pretty lame excuses........I don't hate the roster but I felt a lot more could have been done.....we as a team had a chance to field nicks,Kb,and smith while still giving our young guys a shot

I just find it funny that a guy who's never been about the money, didn't chew jakes ass out for suckin it up his last couple of years all of a sudden became a greedy asshole who needs to let cam lead in one off season..........believe what you want I'll stick with the word of a guy who's been here 10+ years

But do you think he was seriously a problem, or just not the type of player Gettleman wanted to deal with?

He has always been a problem in regards to off field/lockeroom....that isn't even debatable

You don't think he presented real issues.
